We believe that learning financial literacy from a young age is important and can help students build confidence and make smart financial decisions for the future. Our Financial Literacy Bootcamp has been carefully designed to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences that make personal finance both practical and fun.
Designed for high school and college students and guided by Saint Mary’s Hall teacher Jose Molina, these sessions will feature interactive lessons, simulations, discussions, and team activities focused on real-world financial decision making. Topics will include budgeting, saving, banking, credit cards, debt management, investing, stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, and long-term financial planning.
During the budgeting course, students will participate in engaging financial simulations and interactive activities where they will create monthly budgets, make spending decisions, compare needs versus wants, respond to unexpected financial challenges, and experience how financial choices impact lifestyle, stress, savings, and overall quality of life.
During the investing course, students will explore the fundamentals of investing through engaging stock market activities and simulations. Students will learn about diversification, risk versus reward, compound growth, market trends, and the basics of investing in stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs — all without risking real money.
