John B. Rowsell, PhD

As Chief Strategist of Sendero Partners, Dr. John Rowsell is responsible for surveying the market environment and advising the investment committee and research team. John’s decades of work in the hedge fund industry provide him with a unique vantage point. John’s investment career began in Chicago and took him on to Zurich and London.  He has held many notable roles including leadership positions in the world’s largest fund-of-funds firm, Man Group, PLC, C-suite positions in global investment firms, former Advisor to Goldman Sachs, and former Director, Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

John holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and a BSc. from University of Guelph in Canada. John is a Board Member of the Virginia Tech Foundation and former Board Member of Teach for America, Chicago.
